Release Notes - 5/7/2018 Block, Mobile App Updates, Criteria-Based Segments

What's included in this release:

Blocking capability - Stop incoming messages from specific numbers
Mobile App Update - Ability to send images!
Criteria-Based Segments - Ability to enable dynamic, data-based segments for all users in a department
Additional updates - Set default department, notifications, content warning, Group Account reporting

Blocking Incoming Messages

We've added the ability for you to block any unwanted incoming spam or inappropriate messages. After a number is blocked, all users in the current department will be prevented from receiving any future incoming messages and it will trigger an automatic opt-out. The automatic opt-out prevents the blocked number from accidentally receiving any additional outgoing messages.

Mobile App Updates!

MMS has been added to the mobile app! The latest version (1.4.2) allows you to send images from the photo library or camera on your mobile phone and also displays shows any incoming images with the conversation view.

Criteria-Based Segments for All Users!

Owners can now turn on the ability for users to create Criteria-Based Segments. This setting can be managed separately for each department. If enabled, users can create segments using a field-based search where they can set criteria and query student records in Cadence in order to generate a set of students matching that criteria.

Additional Updates

Push Notification Settings

Push notifications have been added to the notification options. If you are not a member of a Group Account, you can select what types of notifications you'd like to receive by selecting the check box at the bottom of your profile.

Group Account Users: If you are a member of a Group Account, managing your notifications is under the "Notifications" tab in your Profile.

Default Department

Users who are in multiple departments can select which department they'd like to be the default department when logging into Cadence.

Content Warning

A content warning has been added for text that looks like it should be a merge field but doesn't match an actual merge field:

Group Account Reporting

Group Accounts have been added to the Message Activity reporting page. From this page you can now see all activity among users and Group Accounts. It will show the total usage as a group as well as broken down per staff member assigned to that Group Account.
