FTP Integration - Import and Export Statuses

Overview

This article covers potential FTP statuses along with errors related to the FTP Integration, along with what can be done to remedy it.

FTP Import Statuses

The following is an alphabetical list of FTP statuses related to importing data. An explanation of each status is provided.

Complete: The import has finished processing and has completed (note that this does not necessarily mean that it completed free of any errors).

Error Processing File: We were able to retrieve the file, but could not process it for a specific reason (e.g., inaccurate columns, invalid characters, etc.)

FTP Error: An FTP issue has occurred; specific information will be in download file or viewable by hovering over the "i" tooltip.
Initiating FTP Transfer: The process has just started and has not yet attempted to connect to the FTP server.
No File(s) Found: No files matching the specs for pickup were located
Post Processing Error: The import completed, but the post-import action (move/delete) failed.
Processing: The import is current running; the status will change when processing has completed.

FTP Export Statuses

The following is an alphabetical list of FTP statuses related to exporting data. An explanation of each status is provided.

Failed Processing: An unknown error has occurred. Contact Mongoose support.

FTP Error: An FTP issue has occurred; specific information will be in download file. This can be caused by a variety of reasons, including the export path being missing, duplicate file names (if your FTP integration is not set to overwrite existing files), etc. Note that the integration checks the file destination ahead of the export, so these errors may also be from attempting to write the file.
Processing: The export is current running; the status will change when processing has completed.
Skipping Export - No Records: There is no data to export.

Connection Errors

If you are trying to set up the initial FTP connection and receiving an error, the error text should help point to the cause of the issue. Contact our support team if you need additional information or guidance.
If the error indicates an issue with the negotiation or key exchange algorithm, please review this resource to ensure that the algorithm you are using is secure, as we will only support secure algorithms:  https://www.rebex.net/sftp.net/features/ssh.aspx
