Can I use Cadence to send emergency alerts?

Cadence prohibits emergency alerts because the platform utilizes long code phone numbers. Long code numbers cannot send a text message to thousands of people at once, as doing so will cause the text to either be blocked or throttled to a slow speed in the time of an emergency. Additionally, opted out contacts would not receive the text.
