If a contact opts-out of texting, is the contact opted-out across all teams?
Cadence stores opt-out status on a team-by-team basis as well as a user phone number level.
This breakdown shows the different types of opt-outs and the impact each one has:
Manually opted-out contact (Cadence User opts the contact out)
- The contact will no longer receive text messages from anyone on the team where the opt-out occurred.
- If the contact exists in another team, he/she will be able to receive text messages from users in that team.
Automatic opt-out (contact texts in STOP,CANCEL,END,QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE)
- The contact will no longer receive text messages from anyone on the team where the opt-out occurred.
- The contact has opted-out of receiving text messages from that phone number globally (i.e., even if that Cadence user exists in another team, he/she will not be able to text that contact due to this opt-out).
- The contact can receive text messages from other Cadence users in different team.
