How do I integrate text messaging into my institution's website?

Phone numbers (including Cadence virtual numbers) can be included on contact information pages or staff profile pages. Institutions can use the HTML code "tel:" to hyperlink phone numbers posted on websites, and each mobile device handles that hyperlink differently. Some devices will give the user an option to call or text, while others may not (the device controls this function).

Additionally, institutions can elect to have someone on campus write JavaScript so that clicking on a hyperlinked number launches a modal window that displays options for the user to select "call" or "text."
