Slate Integration - SFTP Configuration

General Configuration

For the integration to function, access to the Slate SFTP server must be configured. To set up access:

1. Create a new user in Slate for Cadence's access to the SFTP server. This user should be created a Service Account. An email address will be required to create the user in Slate. It can be a new email address, but please do not include an email address that you do not have access to. Refer to Slate's documentation for instructions on how to properly configure a Service Account.

2. Once the account is created, under the Roles tab, assign only the SFTP access permission.

3. Make note of the Host, Port, and Username values for the SFTP Access configuration.

4. Ensure that the Host, Port, and Username values from Slate match the values in Cadence. The paths are case sensitive. Ensure the "Username" is the exact username shown in Slate, including the "@".

5. Copy the value of SSH2 Public Key from Cadence and enter it in Slate under SSH2 Public Key under the SFTP Access configuration. Note that you will need to log into Cadence and navigate to the "Team Name" > Slate > SFTP Configuration page to actually copy your specific public key (it will look similar to the one shown in the screenshot above).

6. Copy the value of the Mongoose IP Address and enter that in Slate for Allowed Networks under the SFTP Access configuration.

7. In Slate, enter the following lines for Path Restrictions under the SFTP Access configuration:

/incoming/mongoose/
/outgoing/mongoose/
/incoming/mongoose/processed/
/outgoing/mongoose/processed/

8. Make sure there are no spaces before or after these paths when entering them into Slate. In Slate, click your mouse cursor after each path to confirm there are no spaces; delete trailing spaces if they are present.

9. Save the SFTP Access configuration in Slate and save the SFTP Configuration tab within Cadence to ensure all these changes have been committed.

At this point, Cadence should be able to connect to Slate's SFTP server.
