Workday Integration Guide


Cadence offers an automated two-way native integration with Workday. The following points are included in the integration:

  • Contact data automatically loaded from Workday into Cadence
  • Standard fields (such as name and mobile number), custom fields, user assignment, and opt out preferences can be included
  • All message activity from Cadence automatically exported to Workday

Note that the integration is team specific, meaning that each team in Cadence will have its own integration method, data fields, and settings.

Before You Start

Before setting up this integration, please review the following items to consider:

  • The integration will utilize Workday's web services and APIs. Individuals involved in setting up the integration should be familiar with Workday web services.
  • You must be able to create a web-enabled custom report using the RaaS (Reports-as-a-Service) functionality in Workday.
  • An Integration System User must be created in Workday in order to utilize this integration. 
  • You can set up the connection to your Workday instance as well as the export configuration using the integration's configuration area in Cadence. To configure the data import portion from Workday, please contact and work directly with our support team.

Note: This integration is only available for Cadence Text. Cadence Chat does not currently support this integration option.

Enabling the Integration

The Workday integration area can only be enabled by Mongoose (contact your Client Success Lead or Mongoose Support to have it enabled). Once available, it appears in Cadence under the team administrator's menu in the left hand side navigation:
