Raiser's Edge NXT Integration-Authentication

Initial Setup

Navigate to "Team Name" > Raiser's Edge NXT Integration. 

If you have never configured the Raiser's Edge NXT integration before, the following screen will be presented:

Note: A Raiser's Edge NXT Admin will be needed to connect Cadence to your instance of Raiser's Edge NXT the first time.

Click [Connect] to begin the initial setup.

Authorization

After clicking [Connect], you will be prompted to authorize in order to connect your instance of Raiser's Edge NXT to Cadence. 

It's important to note that the first time you are connecting Cadence to Blackbaud, you will need a Raiser's Edge NXT Admin to authorize the connection before beginning the setup.

If you do not have the correct permissions in Blackbaud/Raiser's Edge NXT, you will receive an authorization error. Please reach out to your NXT admin to get Cadence connected.

Once connected, you will be notified that the authorization was successful. Click on the link (or go to Settings) to complete setting up notification emails around errors and imports.

Re-Authenticating

Blackbaud’s authentication requires the Cadence team administrator to do an authorization/validation once a year to confirm & authorize the environment for use in their Cadence team.

Click on "Settings". Within the settings area there will be a button to trigger the authorization process. Click [Update]
