Raiser's Edge NXT Integration Guide

Overview

Cadence supports a bi-directional automated integration with Raiser’s Edge NXT instances.

The Raiser's Edge NXT integration allows for:

Importing data from Raiser's Edge NXT: Constituent data is made accessible in Raiser's Edge NXT based on a List. This List is queried by Cadence and contact records are created.
Exporting message data to Raiser's Edge NXT: As text messages are sent/received by Cadence, corresponding "Actions" and/or "Notes" are created in Raiser's Edge NXT in real-time.
Exporting opt-out changes to Raiser's Edge NXT: As constituents opt-out preferences change, those updates can be pushed to Raiser's Edge NXT in real-time.

There is only a very minimal amount of setup needed in Raiser's Edge NXT, and no custom development is required. The following information will be explained further in the corresponding documentation.

Install the Mongoose Cadence Integration app from the Raiser's Edge Marketplace (a link can be found on the configuration screen in Cadence) Note: An Environment Administrator has to install the Mongoose Cadence Integration
Authentication by a Cadence team Admin who is also a user in NXT will be needed to connect Cadence to your instance of Raiser's Edge NXT the first time. Note: Authentication must be reestablished once a year.
Imports of constituent data requires the creation of a List. This List can bring in additional fields found on constituents.
Message data will appear in Raiser's Edge NXT in the existing "Actions" and/or "Notes" area.
All the data transfer mentioned above is initiated and carried out within Cadence automatically - there are no required manual steps post-configuration, and no additional programming tasks within Raiser's Edge.

You are able to select a single import time from the 4 automatic import times available. You can select your preferred option from overnight (very early AM), morning, afternoon, and evening.

Note: This integration is only available for Cadence Text. Cadence Chat does not currently support this integration option.

Enabling and Locating the Integration Settings

If you are interested in enabling the Raiser's Edge NXT integration in your team, please reach out to your Client Success Lead at Mongoose or contact our support team (support@hellomongoose.com). The integration can only be enabled by Mongoose. Once enabled, it will appear under the admin tools for your team.
