Cadence Mobile App Updates
An updated version of the Cadence mobile app (v1.2.3) is now available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
New & Updated Features:
- Ability to search for students using custom fields
- Ability to manaully add a new student (and begin messaging them!) directly from the app
- Ability to manage a student's opt-out preferences in the app
- More shortcuts for messaging students and navigating to existing conversations
Student Search & Opt-Out Preferences
We've added a "Students" section to the navigation options at the bottom of the app. By default, the search will use the student's full name.
By selecting the icon in the upper left, all of the custom data fields for the student can be utilized.
When viewing the student's information, there are some new options for changing their opt-out preferences and sending messages. If there is an existing conversation in progress with the student, the "Message" option will bring you there. Otherwise, it will start a new conversation.
Manually Adding New Students
New students can be added directly to the mobile app if you have their mobile numbers and first and last names. This feature works the same as adding a student directly to the web application. While it will enable you to add the student to Cadence and begin texting them immediately, it remains important to ensure the student is also added to your CRM/SIS.
There are two ways that you can manually add students. The first option adds student through the "plus" icon on the upper right corner of the Students search page.
The second option can be done when actually composing a message - if an unknown mobile is entered as a recipient, you have the ability to manually add a new student right there.
Both options will navigate you to the Add Student screen (pictured below), which will allow a new student to be created in Cadence.
If you have automatic app updates enabled on your phone, you should receive these updates without having to do anything. Otherwise, please head to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to make sure you are up to date.
