Segments

Send more effective text messages to groups of students with our new Segments feature. All existing "lists" have been updated and transformed into editable Segments. Admin users can now create Criteria-Based Segments within Cadence.

Create Criteria-Based Segments (Admin Users)

Use our new Segment builder to select criteria and determine which students to include in your Segment. Compose a new text message and send it to the Segment of students.

  • Using a simple field-based search, query student records in the Cadence database and create a Segment based on your criteria.
  • Send a text message to the students who fit the Segment criteria.
  • Set a Criteria-Based Segment to "Auto-Update", ensuring the most recent data is always used to determine which students are included in the Segment.
  • Criteria-Based Segments can be saved as Static Segments.

  • Identifier-Based Segments can be managed/modified after being created.
  • View students included in the Segment and add/remove students as needed.
