Where to find the Recruit User GUID

In order for the integration to correctly send message activity back to Recruit, each Cadence User must have their UserID set to the Recruit User GUID.

Example of a Recruit user GUID: 7C86C8DB-DCB9-EC11-A974-E7AA11D4AA25

Note: If you're also planning on wanting a user assignment in Cadence (such as Recruiter), within the import settings, we recommend mapping UserID to Recruiter so that the GUID's match and both message activity and staff assignment can work properly.

How to find the Recruit User GUID:

Within Recruit, there are two ways to find the User GUID that is needed for the integration. The first, will be on a one off user basis within Recruit. The second, will require you to modify an export from Recruit and will provide you the User GUIDs in bulk (likely more ideal if you have multiple users that need updated).

1. Navigate to Users>Click into a User>Click that arrow type button in the upper right

That should then open that user into a new view. It'll then be the ID that's between the % signs in the URL at the top.

Note: that the ID does not include the 7b characters in the ID--we are not 100% sure if all Recruit ID's start that way in the URL--if so, the 7b doesn't need to be there.27063771fbdff01f39212fbc27fb33f6.png

That ID will need to be tied to the User in Cadence. Whether you Create a New User or Edit Existing User, just make sure that UserID text box has that GUID. You will need to do this for each user that will be in Cadence.

2. Navigate to Operations>Settings & Tools>Users

Select the Users that you need the User GUID for by using the checkbox (or select all).

Once Users have been selected, click on the Menu (three vertical dots) > Export Selected Records. This will Export those users into an Excel file (it may download within your browser or you can search it within your computer files).

Open the downloaded file (note that the file you opened is missing Columns A-C). You will need to resave it as a .csv.

Once Saved as a .csv, reopen the file and you should now see the User GUID in Column A ((Do Not Modify) User).

That ID will need to be tied to the User in Cadence. Whether you Create a New User or Edit Existing User, just make sure that UserID text box has that GUID. You will need to do this for each user that will be in Cadence.
