Radius Integration Guide

Overview

Cadence offers a fully-automated integration with Campus Management Radius. We provide the following points of integration:

  • Contacts from Radius loaded into Cadence
  • All message activity from Cadence loaded as cases/case messages in Radius
  • Any contact opt out preference changes in Cadence reflected in Radius
  • Message delivery errors reflected in Radius (optional)

There are several things to consider before configuring the integration between Radius and Cadence:

  • The user setting up the integration must be an administrator in both Radius and Cadence.
  • The integration relies solely on Radius webservices, and therefore, requires a web user account to be utilized.
  • Logging, monitoring, and notifications are all configurable within Cadence.
  • Overnight, automatic imports can be enabled.
  • Each individual integration process can be scheduled independently or run on demand, at will.

The Radius integration area can only be enabled by Cadence (contact your Client Success Lead to have it enabled). Once available, it appears in the Admin tools for the team (must be an Admin user to access):

Note that some aspects of the setup within Radius may require you to reach out to Campus Management support directly.

Before You Start

There are a few items to consider before you begin configuring the integration:

  • This entire integration runs using the Radius webservices. We recommend setting up a new webservices user to use with this specific integration; using an existing webservices user can cause issues with requirements/permissions.
  • Contacts will be imported from a Radius target; we recommend setting up one target that encompasses all contacts you would like to import.
  • This integration allows you to import contact data into Cadence from Radius as well as import texting activity into Radius from Cadence (stored as cases/case messages).
  • Contacts can only be imported from the Contacts Module
  • If you utilize comm plans in Radius, you have the option of sending automated text messages from Radius using this integration.
  • Data imports essentially function as a create/update process. If it is the first time you are importing a record, it will be added to the team's data set in Cadence. If you are importing a record that was previously imported, that record will simply be updated with the new information.

Note: This integration is only available for Cadence Text. Cadence Chat does not currently support this integration option.
